Israeli Strikes Wipe Out Families as Global Envoys Decry Escalating Horror

Israel has stepped up attacks on Gaza and the West Bank, drawing condemnation from church leaders and diplomats who visited Taybeh, a Christian village recently targeted by Israeli settlers. Envoys from over 20 countries, including the UK, Russia, China, Japan, Jordan, and the EU, traveled to the village on Monday. In Gaza, Israeli forces struck a house in Shati refugee camp, killing at least five people and wounding several others. Health officials reported that new airstrikes killed over 90 Palestinians, many of them women and children. One of the deadliest attacks hit a home in Gaza City’s Tel al-Hawa district, killing 19 family members, including eight women and six children. Another strike on a tent sheltering displaced civilians killed a couple and their two children. The UN human rights office said killings and attacks by Israeli settlers and security forces in the West Bank have increased significantly.
