Michael Bracewell has replaced Glenn Phillips for New Zealand's first Test against Zimbabwe.
Phillips has been ruled out of the two-match series due to a groin injury he suffered while playing for the Washington Freedom in Major League Cricket earlier this month.
Bracewell was initially left out of the side due to his commitments with the Southern Brave in The Hundred, but can play in the first Test before travelling to England.
The Test starts on July 30 in Bulawayo, marking the Blackcaps' first Test tour of Zimbabwe since 2016.
The all-rounder has played in eight Test matches in his career, taking 24 wickets with an average of 41.8, and scoring 259 runs with an average of 19.9.
New Zealand head coach Rob Walter said it was an easy decision to bring Bracewell in for Phillips.
"Glenn's injury provided a gap in the Test squad and Michael is the closest like-for-like replacement," Walter said.
"His experience and skill set will be a great asset and allows us to keep the same balance of the team."
