Mangaluru: Conman Rohan Saldanha Arrested In Midnight Op; Secret Chambers, Hidden Doors Found At Mansion

In a dramatic midnight operation, Mangaluru City Police arrested Rohan Saldanha, a suspected high-profile conman, from the Jepinamogaru area. As per reports, Saldanha has been accused of defrauding rich businessmen of crores of rupees.

Posing as a wealthy businessperson himself, he reportedly hoodwinked several affluent people across India by promising massive business loans and real estate deals, some worth up to 500 crore rupees.

As per reports, the midnight raid was carried out by a team led by Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravish Nayak, who discovered secret chambers and concealed doors inside Saldanha’s luxurious residence. Sharing details with the reporters, police said an investigation is underway to ascertain his modus operandi.

As per reports, Saldanha allegedly promised business loans worth up to 500 crore rupees alongside lucrative real estate deals.

In the name of processing fees and legal clearances, the targets were allegedly asked to pay advance sums ranging from rupees fifty lakh to four crore. Upon receiving the money, Saldanha reportedly disappeared.

One of his bank accounts reportedly recorded over 40 crore rupees in transactions in just three months, suggesting the actual scale of the fraud may be much larger.

What All Did The Raid Reveal?

After carrying out the midnight raid, police asserted that the opulent mansion of Saldanha was custom-built to conceal evidence. Each and every part of the luxurious property was found to be under meticulous surveillance by high-definition cameras.

From ornamental plants worth 3–5 lakh rupees each to a private collection of vintage champagne and exotic liquors, and secret rooms hidden behind walls.

A strong surveillance system enabled him to monitor visitors and evade contact accordingly.
