Eastbourne Open Final: Maya Joint Saves Four Championship Points To Edge Alexandra Eala
Maya Joint fought hard to win one of her toughest matches this year, beating 20-year-old qualifier Alexandra Eala at the Eastbourne Open final on Saturday (June 28, 2025). The 19-year-old Joint saved four championship points to win 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (10) and secure her second WTA Tour singles title of 2025. The third set was a battle of momentum swings, with each player taking a lead before the match headed to a deciding tiebreak. After 2 hours and 26 minutes, Joint converted her second championship point to complete the escape.
