Cameron Brink enjoyed a "10 out of 10" comeback, despite the Los Angeles Sparks falling to the Las Vegas Aces.
Brink made her return following an absence of over a year on Tuesday, having completed her recovery from an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
She was unable to help the Sparks extend their five-game winning streak, though, as the Aces won 89-74.
Brink, though, was just delighted to be back out on the court.
"I definitely was a little nervous at first," Brink said, as quoted by ESPN.
"But once I got in, it felt like riding a bike. Great day. Ten out of 10.
"I really missed it. That's definitely my favourite part of basketball, just competing, working my butt off.
"So, it's really fun to be out there with my team-mates and feed off of the crowd. I won't ever forget it.
"I'm just thankful for the process, the people who've helped me along the way and I'm just happy to be playing the sport I love again.
"I'm tougher than I thought, you're always stronger than you think. There's so many lessons I've learned, but I think if I can come back from this, there's not much I can't do."
Brink was only 15 games into her WNBA career when she tore her ACL in June 2024.
She played for less than 14 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with five points and three rebounds.
Sparks coach Lynne Roberts was impressed with what Brink offered.
"I thought she did a good job," Roberts said.
"To be honest, she was more comfortable out there than I anticipated her to be, just because how long she's been out, and coming in midseason is hard."
The Sparks sit 10th in the WNBA, with an 11-15 record for the season.
