Atletico Madrid have reached an agreement with Feyenoord for the signing of David Hancko.
The defender’s transfer will be official once he completes the formalities of the move.
Hancko was reportedly close to a move to Al-Nassr, but Atleti pounced on the deal once the transfer to the Saudi Pro League club had collapsed.
The Slovakia international has spent the last three seasons with Feyenoord, following spells with Zilina, Fiorentina and Sparta Prague.
He made 97 appearances in the Eredivisie, keeping 36 clean sheets and winning 65.9% of his tackles and 64.1% of his duels.
Hancko helped Feyenoord lift the league title in 2023, while also winning the KNVB Cup and Johan Cruyff Shield the following year.
The 27-year-old is Diego Simeone’s fourth defensive signing of the summer after the additions of Marc Pubill, Matteo Ruggeri and Clement Lenglet.
