On Friday, K-Pop boy band, BTS dropped their first-ever live album titled Permission to Dance On Stage — Live, after a break of three years. The album features 22 songs, the band performed during their 2021-2022 world tour.
Permission to Dance On Stage — Live features live recordings of some of the most iconic performances of BTS on their several hits, like Dynamite and Butter. Chartbusters like Life Goes On, Boy With Luv (feat. Halsey), ON, DNA, Idol, Black Swan, Fake Love', Permission to Dance, Spring Day, Airplane pt. 2, and more are also included in the album’s track list.
A 141-minute concert video featuring BTS members RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook performing at Olympic Stadium in Seoul on March 13, 2022, is also reportedly part of the live album.
A 92-page interview photobook with behind-the-scenes memories from the concert will also be available alongside the physical copy of the album.
As per the official website of BTS, "The notable release captures the dynamic energy of BTS PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE tour, held across Seoul, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas in 2021. Spanning 12 unforgettable shows that resonated through stadiums around the world, the album offers an immersive glimpse into BTS’ electrifying global stage presence."
All the members of BTS have completed their mandatory military service. Jin started his military service in December 2022 and completed it in June last year. J-Hope was discharged in October 2024. Namjoon, Jimin, Taehyung and Jungkook and Suga were discharged in June this year.
In their first Weverse live session, RM, the leader of BTS, confirmed that the band will release their new album in the spring of 2026. They will start their world tour after the release of their new album.
BTS' last concert, Yet to Come, was in Busan, South Korea, in 2022. Proof, which was released in 2022, was the band's last studio album.
